It was attended by over 300 engineers and scientists, all interested in the subject from a professional standpoint. Over 100 related paper were presented. Numerous PhD's and Professional Engineers participated in the discussions. The overwhelming evidence is against such a phenomenon ever having taken place. Although we seem to have 400 thousand years of interpretive data from glaciers, and about 500 years crude data from tree rings, the Earth's age is estimated to be in excess of 5 billion years. So our oldest data is relatively recent, and conclusively uncertain.
